I’d like to get feedback on your own ViralListMachine installations so I’d be happy if you could just post the URL of your VLM installation and write something on the purpose of the site and what you are giving away.
This is actually a way for you to advertise your VLM-powered site for free but please don’t just post the URL, tell us something about it. If you have also created custom themes and video I’d appreciate sharing them.
Tips and tricks and optimizations are also very welcome.

Is “pro” going to happen?
How about a page with sites using VLM that you have chosen that best utilize this fantastic concept.
Again, Sascha, this is a great platform, and I appreciate what you’ve done. – Matt
Hi! My site, http://www.DreamPilotJobs.com is for a pilot career training product. I’m using the AWeber plug-in and only some minor CSS tweaks to the template, which I’ve also emulated for the non-VLM pages for uniformity. Sascha has been a huge help with the install and any questions I’ve had.
Using Camtasia videos on each page, I used the sequential nature of the VRL to basically build the site so it flows as a step-by-step eCourse.
So the first free thing is actually presented as “Step 1.” (a tutorial). Using the referral function as incentive, the reward is the Step 2., which links to Step 3., the sales page for the product.
For users that can’t or won’t reach the reward level (set at only 2 referrals), they get a link to Step 2. in an autoresponder anyways, two days after sign-in, in order to keep them engaged and directed toward the product.
I did learn from experience with the GKLM that users, having probably never seen this format before, require very clear instructions about what to do next at each step, particularly on the “thank you page” and “member page” or else they give up. I’m kinda proud of my videos on those pages that accomplish this purpose.
I would estimate that that only a third to a half of new subscribers actually use their referral link productively, but the VLM absolutely does build a list more quickly than without, and I think it helps if you position it as a nice way they can help their friends.
It’s a great product and I like how it keeps users engaged and participating. I’m curious about whether or not the VLM increases sales conversion. Anyone have any stats on that?
I’m also interested in custom themes and any feedback. Thanks Sascha!
My VLM website offers free information for homeowners wanting to know more about loan modifications. People have even saved their homes using just the free portions.
And set up a second one for Commercial Loan Modifications. We’re helping commercial property owners restore cash flow, but getting their lenders to reduce their mortgage payments!
When is VLM Pro going to happen? It’s been a long time now.
Hey Matt,
I’ve installed VLM but the ‘Autoresponders’ tab doesn’t work. I just get a blank page. This is the earl the tab directs to:
http://www.mydomain.com/viral/admin/index.php?tab=autoresponder
How can I fix this so that I can enter my autoresponder details? Thanks
